Individual Therapy for Relationship

  • Are you single?
  • Are you divorced?
  • Are you looking to form a relationship?
  • Do you lack the self-confidence to create a relationship?

Achievement: I am pleased to say that I have helped many people overcome self-defeating, self-destructive negative thoughts and behaviours which have caused to hinder their ability to achieve good relationship. First and foremost, to gain good relationship requires of us to gain greater understanding and awareness to the person we are. Without this understanding, people usually go on to repeat and continue the same old self defeating patterns, which results in disappointment.

Attracting relationship: Whether you choose to search for a partner, by any means, be it, internet dating, social networking site, at a friend’s party, or bar, makes absolutely no difference as to the person you will attract. All the same, the lack of self knowledge, will result in you choosing and attracting the same kind of person that you probably had previously, with similar circumstances and outcomes. It is not until we change who we are, that we can change the kind of relationship we will attract, and have with another. With relationship therapy, I can help you to become more self- confident to pull towards you the kind of person you would hope to be with. I will draw from a number of options and theoretical approaches that would best suit you in order for you to become more courage’s, and able to achieve your objective.

Previous relationships: I understand that an unpleasant relationship from the past can hinder and worry some people from having the courage to even begin to consider the prospect from having a relationship. Don’t let an unfortunate relationship from the past continue to ruin your life. Psychotherapy can help you overcome those negative experiences and enable you gain confidence and reclaim your life back.

Self- awareness: By examining ourselves in therapy, we can excavate the stumbling blocks that stop us, from enjoying the freedom to meet new people, have the confidence to engage with others, and from having a good intimate relationship. Overall, over time with the support of specific relationship counselling, you will become more self- developed, self-aware and self- assured to achieve your overall aim.

What to Expect

After an initial appointment in Harley Street, there is no obligation to continue if you do not wish to. You and I may use the time to examine the life difficulties for which you are considering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Counselling, Humanistic Therapy, Integrative Therapy or Psychotherapy. I will address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to decide if my mental health practice is right for you.

The Integrative Counselling approaches I use:

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. An objective of Counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative Therapy combines therapeutic approaches to fit your needs and the issues you experience. It considers your subjective experience and choices. The aim of Integrative Therapy is to help you develop your self-understanding.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic Therapy focuses on valuing you. It sees you as a whole human being and prioritises your personal growth. Humanistic Therapy aims to help you recognise your autonomy.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find appropriate methods of coping.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and addresses unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.
